Construction Process - September 22, 2001

A quick weekend trip to GWR.  First flights since the September 11th attacks.

The aspen are almost in their full fall glory.   This is one of my favorite times of year in the mountains.   Surely, we shall spend at least a week here in late September each and every year.

Met with Mike (Native Plumbing), Henry, and Bill (trim guy).   Also showed the place to my colleague Gunter.

The major work since the last visit is the stone exterior.   As you will see in the pictures below, Kurt and Mike are true master craftsmen.   Jack and the painting crew also completed staining of the exterior siding.   The Woodburner also completed installation of the chimney.

The next 3-4 weeks should bring much progress as the remaining windows will be installed, the roof will finish, the remaining siding will be installed, the plumbing will will be roughed-in, the heater will be installed, and the stone work will finish.

The fantastic fall colors.

Several shots of the exterior stone work.

Gunter inspects the stonework.

Several new angles.

The stainless steal chimney will be wrapped with a square stone facade.
