Log Cabin Style
Here are a handful of photos
showing either homes from Pacific Log Homes (the selected log supplier) or
other log home views showing elements we wish to incorporate into the design
and decoration of our home.
This is a log shell from Pacific
Log Homes recently erected in Teller County.
Note the hand-crafted
structure, massive logs, and the fine, furniture-like quality joints between
the logs.

Here is a detail shot of an
exterior corner. You cannot even slip a
piece of paper through the joints.

This is a shot of the
Philips cabin. This room is similar to
the great room planned for our cabin.

Another shot of the Philips
cabin from the loft looking back over the great room (obviously, taken under
different lighting conditions that the above photo).

The next shot is of the
stonework on the Phillips cabin.
Visiting their site has cost us a lot of money….. We were planning a stucco finish until we
saw the spectacular results the Kurt Koskinen produces. The stone and log combination is stunning.

The last Phillips shot shows
the entire cabin. Nice place!

Next are a series of shots
from the Swanson’s cabin. They are
building in Woodland Park. The first is
a shot of the front showing the out-riggers.

This one shows an exterior
corner. The exterior logs are stained with
a “honey” color.

Lastly, here is a photo of
the entire cabin. A bit foggy that
day….. Note the roof panels in the
foreground ready for installation.

Here is a shot of an 8000 sq
ft Pacific Log Home being build west of Loveland, Colorado

Here
are two shots of a Pacific Log home perched high above Colorado Springs. The views from this building site are like
being in an airplane! The second shot
stars Log Guy Extraordinaire (LGE), Jim Mardinly.

Lastly, here is a photo of a
completed cabin from Pacific Log Homes.
This one is located in Woodland Park, Colorado. Ours will not be as large, but will be
similar.
