Starting Point: Intersection of I-25 and Highway 24 in
Colorado Springs (Exit 141 on I25)
1) Proceed West on Highway 24 to Woodland Park (about 18
miles).
2) Follow Highway 24 West through Woodland Park to
Divide (about 7 miles past Woodland Park)
3) From the stop light in Divide, proceed West on
Highway 24 for 1.5 miles. Watch for a
left hand turn onto Twin Rocks Road.
4) Take a left hand turn on Twin Rocks Road (TWR). Follow TWR for roughly 5.8 miles. TWR will dead-end on Teller County Road #1
(CR1).
5) Take a left on CR1.
Follow CR1 south (at 5.8 miles, you will pass Evergreen Station on your
left). After about 7.5 miles southbound
on CR1 (about 1.7 miles south of Evergreen Station) watch for a power pole on
the left hand side of the road. This is
Alpine Road, although it is not marked and is difficult to see from CR1 until
you are right at the turn.
6) Take a left on Alpine Road. Alpine Rd is the first dirt road. Follow Alpine Road for 0.5 miles. You will reach a “T” intersection. Take a right on Lookout Road.
7) Follow Lookout Road for 0.8 miles (this is a steep,
winding road, but perfectly passable). Granite Wall Ranch is at the end of Lookout Road.
